Bonding Needed ?

I own a 86 18ft.Classic and was wondering if anyone restoring a classic has bonded the top deck to the hull,if so at what points need to be glassed together.My top deck came off with ease but it looks like it was bonded together at one time. Thanks for any advice anyone could offer. Jeff

I personally don't agree with bonding the deck to the hull. It's kind of like welding the hood of your car shut. I replaced all the sheet metal screws around the joint with machine screws and nylok nuts with washers. I did that about 13 years ago and I don't think I've had to retighten a screw since.

i like the idea on an offshore boat. the stronger the better. rodger does have a good idea though.
