Anybody know what power level a standard Cobra and King Cobra drive can stand reliably?

Let's ASSume the Cobra is with a beefed small block and the King Cobra is with a beefed big block.

Don't know anything about the HP ratings, but they really don't seem to break. They had them with 454,460 and 502's hooked to them.

Don't know about the Cobra - the King Cobra is good to 650HP? Do a search on this forum for past and more definitive answers previously posted.

But have to know - what do you have in mind?

I/we just picked up a 22C with a King package (killer deal), and I have an another idea about picking up an 18, if I can find one with a sb/King setup.
Did Donzi ever build a small block 18 with a King outdrive?? :D
I just missed a SB/18/bravo in Orlando by mere hours (good deal). It seems the deals on used Cobra's are mucho better than Alpha deals.... for what I want to do with it.

Congratulations!!!

The best cure for Criteremorse is several Donzis... glad you're seeking help before we had to hold an intervention...

Bunches,

Now I feel stupid for not reading the whole post and seeing the sizes. We like any other place have a ton of Go Fasts. The smaller meaning under 3500lbs or boats get decent time out of any drive. I've said it before like others, you don't find Cobras on the repair rack. And yes I am jealous as blazes TWO CLASSICS! Me I'd do a hot small block in the 18 ans what else a big one in the 22. Wishing I had more time and deeper pockets!
