When you dip a carb or other part in carb/parts cleaner it usually does not remove the oxidation. Next time dip it in Apple cider vinegar. Yep that's right. Apple cider vinegar.
You will be amazed.
You will be shocked on how well it cleans parts.

And just when I starting to think that us folks down in Florida knew all the tricks! Apple cider vinegar, huhh? . . . That sounds like one I have to give a try.

Scot you do come up with some neat stuff. Why not have a spot for preffered or what works, sealers, waxes, grese, corrosion stuff etc? I am still telling Buddies about the McGuires wheel cleaner for hull stains, it is fantastic.

Thanks Guy!

I echo MOP's thoughts about a products/ideas/remedies section. Maybe just change the name of "Where to Get Stuff..." to "Where to Get Stuff / What Works Well..."?

A re-cap of recommendations regarding upholstery would be neat to read this time of the year...I'm always leary about what to use on my 36 yr. old Bilt-Rite white. I remember someone thinking vegetable oil is the ticket...

Anyone have the name of a good vinyl softner, I have heard there are some good ones.

P.S. I agree with Tony "what" is more important then "where", we Donzites live darn near all over the world tell us what and we will find it!

Now the truth is out! Scott is really a Good Old Boy(read that Red Neck) in geeks clothings or is it a secret government colvert operation!
