I am making some headway but have yet to solve this problem. The pictured temperature sending unit, with the 3/8" bushing, was reading inconsistently.

My instruments are labeled Kysor/Medallion, Model# MTK-573-20, installed on 8/8/90. That info is on the tach, the temp guage has no specs or markings on it.

Does the pictured sending unit have an equivelent with a 3/8" thread?
Is anybody able to look up the Medallion line and see what resistance, or part number, would be correct?

I just know there is something sitting in my CarQuest auto parts store that would work...but which stinkin' one is it?

I had the same problem. I bought two new senders from Gaffrig. part number #GSWT with 3/8 thread, cost - $14. Gaffrig has a website showing their dealers; but, I use Dollar Marine, in Ft. Lauderdale, two nice ladies that answer the phone, in parts. They always thank me for my business, even if the order is tiny. That's pretty cool, in my book. :D :D :D

I found the oil temp sender I needed at Rex Marine (http://www.rexmar.com/productindex.htm)

Tony,
I have teleflex gauges except for my tach which was a medallion, I think telflex and SW gauges use a pretty standard sender, I check mine tonight for a P/N

Thanks to all for the advice and offers of help. I ordered a sending unit from CP Performance Marine, part # 620-93620, that they think will work with my Medallion guage. We shall see!
