what is best way to clean a K & N Air Filter?

F....K & N makes a cleaning solution and a Re Oiling Kit....It is important to rinse the cleaning solution from inside the filter to the outside. After the Cleaner has soaked in...I run it under the sink with lukewarm water running again around the inside of the filter...this washes/flushes the dirt particles out of the Element...instead of embedding them deeper into the Filter....I run one on my Lightning Truck and this process is what K & N describes on their cleaning/oiling kit...once it is clean it is to air dry...then reapply the Red Oil evenly...Good Luck.... wink ...Doc
