Anyone know how they come up with a reference for the "X" on this configuration? Do they use the original bottom, (pad) as the reference? I realize this is a dual application which sets them up higher anyway, but if a single was on here what would be the "stock botom" reference?

The "notch" allows for a higher "X" dimension and cleaner water to the drive, thus more propulsion, but anyone know how all this would relate to an 18 Classic hull? CDMA? The notch will apparently allow for more control over bow lift, (more of it)...

On the 18 we have the inner strakes stopping about 2' from the transom. Would you extend them to the notch?

...hatch is a moot point...when doing stuff like this...even leaving the drive where it is at, 14 1/2" "X", would it create added benfits? It appears as tho you would lose about 4 1/2-5" from the transom vertically, (and a horizontal line across that) at the bottom if you ran the inner strake back and created a notch inside of it. Still leaves room for a stock "X" @ 14 1/2" and you can still go up about 1 1/2- 2" MAX with that configuration. I think it would all fit. ???

Would it? Where's Chris? Hull drain would be in the forward section of bottom.

Just thinking about the pro's and cons...curious :D
