502/425 and 502/500HP Difference

What are the differences between a 502/425 and a 502/500HP(carb)?

Are 502 crate engines still available?
Would the same upgrades work on a 496?

I just reworked my stock 502/415hp into a 500hp carb.Iam having some issues but,the motor sounds hot...I was in Fairlee Creek last week and This guy in a hustler came over.He said you got a 500hp in your donzi?I can tell by the sound.Yes,Iam Happy I did the change.Once I get my hook taken out of my 28zx my boat should really move! :cool:
