Minx transom light

I was wondering if anyone has a transom light on their Minx? Mine has a small light in the center of the transom but there is no place to insert the transom light pole. My boat came with the pole but there's no place to plug it in. Is the light on the transom enough or do I need to drill holes in the boat to install the outlet for a transom light pole?

The transom light is for the RUNNING lights. Your pole should have a base mount in FRONT of the windshield for your ANCHOR light. At least thats how my Minx is set up.
