Just a quick question. How much does everyone spend per year on fuel? I save all paperwork on my Blackhawk. Started adding up fuel reciepts, Holy Crap! eek! Good thing my calculator is solar powered! :D

In Florida we get to run year round. Sure glad I don't own a Hatteras!

I live in Michigan so I only get 3-4 decent months and I wouldn't want to know how much I spend. Probably ALMOST as much as I spend on beer! :D

How about $2.80 agallon on Lake Tahoe. Nothing like $150 for 55 gallons!! Season's short at Tahoe but the bill isn't

We average 200-225 hours per year on our boats. At $1.89 (dock price) and $1.40 (street price), I spend around a little over 2k per year in gasoline.

:D It'd be a bargain at twice the price!

BTW: I've checked every fill-up on my Donzi against the trip odo on my Etrex, and I'm getting 4 mpg every tank! Not that it matters, but I think that's just great! :)

I was going to try to keep track this year, but I think I've misplaced some of the reciepts. The more I spend the better, that means I've done a whole lotta boatin' in the bill is high. The 302 with the twin 468's likes fuel pretty good, but I couldn't put a price on the joy it brings me. Gas is the cheapest thing I ever have to buy for the boat.

I'm kinda with Poodle, but I keep my receipts to turn in for Road Tax Refunds, it can really add up.

I average about $150 of gas per trip plus $30 of oil, throw in another $20 minimum for deisel time 18 trips this year = $3600. and ist only August.

Wait, can I go back to not knowing with Poodle.

Help me out, road tax refund? I have heard about it in the past. Some of the taxes on fuel goes towards road building, can I get money back if the fuel is spent powering a boat? Or does Jimmy Buffet get it to put up more manatee zone signs on the intercoastal waterway!

100+ gallons a weekend and that doesn't get me far. The twin 500hp just suck it down!! But oh how much fun I have trying to empty the tank!! :}

I remember the first time I filled up our 22 with a 55 gal. fuel tank. My jaw nearly hit the ground from up on top of the boat. LOL As long as I'm not prop testing or running her wide open all day, $20 goes a long way for us. $20 in the 18 though used to last a month and fill the tank!

I don't keep track of it because like Poodle and Matty, it's the relaxation and enjoyment of being on the water with family and friends that makes it worth every cent for me.

I don't want to know but the wife saya about $2700 a year. the fact is I cruse at 16 gal/hour and 45gal/WFO so I don't care, if I did I would have a 13 foot boston whaler with a 50 Honda on it and use 2 gals an hour
