Merc sport jet 90 electrical problems

The kids are scared to get towed behind the 22', so I have one of those horrid 13' jet boats w/ the 90 hp merc sport jet.

Today it started running on 2 of three cylinders for a few minutes. I pulled the plugs, bottom one all wet, cleaned and put back in. Still two, then none. Must be electrical. I have heard somewhere that these have a common electrical problem. Anybody know what to do?

"THEY" say one for the most common problems is due to the "rev limiter" going bad. From there it goes on to switch box. I've replaced on rev limiter and two pistons for my three years of ownership. Mine is vary fun when it runs, and it will be gone as so as I find a 22 classic.
