have any of you actually seen the fast and the furious?

there is a charger in the end of the movie wih a superchharger that races the souped up supra, its a bad ass race!!

frankly, the movie the fast and the furious made the eclipses and hondas out to be bad ass cars.
NOT!!!!!!

the only three cars in the movie that are bad ass are dom's rx-7 the supra and the charger.

I dont care what kind of honda you got, nitrous equipped, turbo charged blah blah blah.
those cars are not made to go 160+ mph let alone 140 mph.

the rx-7 twin turbo, supra twin turbo, 300zxtwin turbo, mitsubushi 300 vr4 twin turbo. are the only mass produced super cars to come out of japan.that are capable of 160+ bone stock(and are made to go even faster)

handling wise these 4 cars will put any worked honda to shame BONE STOCK.

To top it off just to make a honda as fast as one of those 4 cars you would spend more money than just buying one of them.

So my opinion to you is forget about the honda and stick with the sweet 16, remember there are speed limits on land.

unless you buy one of the four japanese cars I mentioned then hmmmm, I dont know what to say. all I know is that out of the 4 cars,
the 300zx has rear wheel steering and the best handling.
buy a 91 or higher 300zx twin turbo or a sweet 16 ;)

Forget the foreign crap; go for the all American muscle cars like a 67 vette (the last of the real classic vettes), 69 Z/28 RS, 69 Chevelle SS, any AC Cobra 427 or a Boss 429 or SCJ if you need a car buy a Classic :) The Wife drives a rin tin Lexus and I’m ashamed that I got it for her because she “needed one” (what was I thinking?). Stick with American made; it’s what keeps our money flowing in our Country.

Anyone “need” an RX300?

I like my 71 MACH I, 351C V4 heads Babe Erson cam hedders, 2 1/2 exhaust. Its just like the one I had when I got out of College. Its a keeper, also a good spare motor for the Corsican and vise versa. I won't grow up so there!

ok i just gotta add this, if you have the need for speed remember there usually isnt a speed limit on open water. street racing or speeding on the roads for that matter isnt worth the ticket or whatever the cops throw at you nowadays. Any Donzi looks better than an eclispe or honda also, and pickin up girls on the water is definately more fun than on the street, its all in the wardrobe! :D

That post fron Lil Grizz is comming from a guy who had a 600hp Mustang street car and traded it for a Donzi 22ZX. He doesn't regret it in the least. However he still has a newer Mustang not quite as fast tho.

It may not be the most popular muscle car but i'll have to stick with my 64 Mercury Cyclone (first car i ever owned... and the love affair is still burning 13 years later)... She's just a tad more potent than the day she came from the factory..... uh yeah.. that's it.. just a wee tad... i'd love to see a rice burner put the rear bumper on the ground (thank god for wheelie bars).... who care's bout top speed on land... it's all about acceleration there...

Have to agree... chicks dig boats...

Donziclassik18, the quickest way to stop dreaming, and start buying Donzi's or quick Imports (I'm a big fan of old North American iron, but I'd put the tuned and lowered AWD Talon turbo I had against almost anything domestic) is to stop wasting 4 days downloading a movie at 56K :D :D

hondas and eclipses give me a break, my 91 s10 pickup with 244k miles smokes all the "ricers" here in town on a regular basis. Just love it when a kid pulls up next to me with one of those coffee cans for an exhaust tip (they sould like and old piece of sh*t VW bug i used to have)i play with em then leave them in the dust.

donziclassik18,

I'm sure we can come up with a few Donzi Video's to keep you focused on the smart choice. Keep saving up, and go to the AOTH II, at Lake Cumberland. I'm sure I'll be able to keep you directed towards your Donzi vision. GEOO (winter plans???)

2wd or 4wd F150? Either one will pull it. Get to a steep (wet) ramp and you will be beggin' for 4wd.

Don't knock the Civic! I've got an '89 Civic Si hatchback with a DOHC JDM ZC motor (160hp+) with a Honda close-ratio gearbox, factory limited slip (very rare), Mugen header, Mugen bushings, rear disc brakes, stainless steel brake lines and all kinds of other goodies. It'll do 105 mph in 3rd gear and I've been clocked at Talledega at over 135 mph . It'll pull over 1g of lateral accelleration on a skid pad and the cool thing is that it gets 38 mpg at a steady 95 mph. It has almost 170k miles on it and gets driven very hard daily. I still do want another late sixties Mustang or Cougar (I've had 2 '68 Cougars, a '70 Cougar, a '68 Mustang convertible and 2 '69 Mach 1's, which would not be econmical to drive 2k miles per month), and I do have a 18 2+3 barrel-back. I'm building a new head w/ stainless steel valves and new cams, which will put the horsepower at about 210@8,000 rpm. The last Civic I had that I did the headwork and cams got over 40 mpg at 95 mph! :D

You see this is where the American made thing takes into play again, My Mark viii runs out of second gear at around 103 – 104mph with a few more gears to use (@ 78mph it has a great little downshift into second gear too) :D. It’s nice to have that big American metal all around you, too bad it only gets 21mpg.

2001 Pontiac Trans-Am with the WS-6 Ram-Air package hanging out in our driveway. :D 350 cubic inches of All-American V-8 rumble with 325 hp to boot. 0-60 in 5 flat, and the quarter in 13 flat. Not bad for a bone stocker ;) ! Rivals that of the Boxter and right on the bumber of some vettes (and blowing past any of the eighties vettes (except the ZR-1 of course ;) ). Take 2 WOT sprints in a 16 classic and call me in the morning. :) :D

1987 Buick Grand National, 3.8liter or 231 ci, 11.80's @114 to 116 mph quartermile, Philly to Dallas w/ 55mph speedlimit: 19 hours, 26 mpg on that trip! I have my muscle car, I have my Tundra, now I need a Donzi!

I wonder how that Buick motor would run in a 16 classic? I've been told it takes 430hp to push the GN 110 in the quarter, so I'm guessing mine was close to 450hp and was very mild.

Geoo,
Posting has been slow around here so sometimes you need to throw out some non-Donzi related thing just to keep it going. I too hate seeing unrelated Donzi postings but in this case I’m a victim.

Sorry about that! http://www.donzi.net/ubb/icons/icon9.gif

Needed to blow off some steam on the weekend. Potential hassles at home. The Donzi is sleeping. The GTO goes away this weekend. In 7 years this car has been driven 10-15 times max after a full resto. Less than 2000 miles on it.
I was heading home on the expressway, topless with temps about 40 degrees, and came up to a Dodge Stealth twin Turbo where the roadway winds down at a lighted intersection. This clown is revving his motor and wants to go me. He pulled me by one quarter length......and had to negotiate his way through screaming noise and tire smoke. Muscle is the way to go. Everyone has a belly button.

After a bizarre weekend a neat thing happened. I guess I miss the Donzi in storage.

I was on my last run in my 69 GTO rag on Saturday when I came upon a twin turbo Stealth.
He is probably still there trying to negotiate through the layers of tire smoke that I kicked his sorry ass with.
Good times, good memories.
