Location of thru hull transducer on 35zf ??

Does anyone have any experience with a thru hull ducer on a 35 zf? I have a Furuno sounder and the transom mount ducer does not work. Steps seem to be a problem

Tuna Z, welcome aboard, but next time try to start with an easy question. I'm starting to think that stepped hulls and bottom sounders are mutually exclusive - at least while underway.

We put all of the transudcers for the 35's in the same place. Just forward of the forward step (thru-hull ducer), access through the head. Work's like a charm and always has a bottom reading with never a hiccup (except when you clear a swell or two :D!). What are you running for power?
