Finished laminating the transom today, 3 layers of 3/4" Thermo Lite Board and 9 layers of glass. I have a little trimming, grinding and filling left...overall she's 3" thick. Hope it's enough. Next is the extension box which I'm in process of ordering.

Suggestions, comments...?

Do you have any pics of inside your engine compartment before you started dismantelling the boat? What engine and drive did you take out?
Also looking for some pictures of the piece that makes up your front foot rests and the locker(storage compartment, tray , whatever) that is located under the front deck on the passenger side (someone cut the one in my boat up to gain easier access under the front deck). The foot rests and front floor are a seperate piece, is that tray under the deck on the passanger side a seperaate piece again or is part of the same mold? Next time you are taking pics of your handy work which is by the way quite good a picture of that front piece while you have it out would be great. I am hoping that I can replace/repair this reasonably close to the to what it looked like originally.
Thanks Danny

9 layers of glass   WOW what weight did you use? Looks like a great job. What kind of boat are you doing? Just did the same thing on my 30ft Formula. Used two layers of Marine Mahogony and two layers of heavy weight glass. So far So good. :)

Thanks fellas, I appreciate your compliments, especially as I sit here sweating in the humid 80's wearing a winter coat to repel the damn glass I was just grinding. :(

Danny,
Below are a couple links with a bunch of stuff. Mostly older... I took out a SBC and Volvo drive.

Funny you should ask about the ski tray, I just whacked it off last night. It was molded to the cockpit. I plan to re-inforce the foot rest then cut out a small section in the center to allow access to the bow area. I'm also laying in a full floor under the bow to dramatically increase the storage capacity. You can have my original ski tray if you want, in fact I drug it out of the trash this morning. It would have to be glassed back on...

L.T.O.O.,
It's a '71 21' Donzi GT. Not sure what weight, but I know there's three layers of the heaviest stuff available, and six of a slightly lighter weight. So much fun I could hardly contain myself. I need some slightly cooler weather...

Nate
I have friends flying into St.Petersburg this weekend to pick up a car in Lakeland and bring it back to Canada. If you could email me your address and phone # they will connect with you to pick up the Ski tray on either Sunday or Monday. I can't believe my luck.Talk to you soon.
Thanks Danny
