Hey everyone, thanks for the tips on the boat. I Drove ten hours round trip with a friend and bought that 86 18' classic from savanna,Ga today. We got it home, put the exhaust pipes back together, and ran it for a ride around the lake. It seems to run fine, with no over heating, or leaking, but the gauge seems to be faulty on the temp. We are going to do more test on it tomorrow in the day light. It was my first ride in a Donzi, pretty sweet. I post some pictures asap . null

Welcome to the Donzi family. There may be some faster 18's on the lake, but none of them will handle the ruff stuff like your new Donzi. Enjoy your purchase and be safe. Looking forward to the pictures.

P.S. Any thoughts on traveling to Kentucky next May for Awakening of the Horses II. Join the Florida folks and head Northwest with them. :)

P.P.S Sorry guys. I had to put a plug in there. After all, were shooting for 80 Donzi boats in one place May 9th thrugh the 14th.

James,
I live across the Lake in Sanford, we need to
meet up. Have had my Donzi since January.
There is going to be a Donzi event Nov. 9-11
in Palatka. Will be a great time as always.
Congratulations & Welcome, Jack.

I was close, :( but 20 hours one way was just to far to make it work quickly.
Oh well, the search continues. :)

Congradulations - nice Classic!

What is the story on that windshield. From the front it has a nice look. Do you like it - to answer myself, you must - its yours.

Enjoy, I've only got a week or 2 until Genuine Trouble is put to rest for the winter.

Thanks for the encouragment. The windshield was just sitting on there, it was missing a couple of brackets, and it appears to be home made. Any one want it? Get this, the guy told me it was over heating, and he thought it was the manifolds clogged or leaking. Well, after putting everything back together that he took apart, it seems it was just a faulty $6.00 sender for the temp guage. it is running great, with no overheating or anything for that matter. I just can't figure out if he was that stupid, or what?

James,
You couldn't have picked a better brand of boat to buy. I bought my 24' Blackwidow 4 years ago and have enjoyed every minute with my Donzi. Hopefully you enjoy yours as much. Have fun and be safe.

That, my good man, is the exact boat I am looking for. BEAUTIFUL. Good for me to start with. If anyone has leads on something like this, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.
