Has anyone had any experience with the Land-and-Sea stern jack? I spoke to one of their guys who told me that my particular boat and setup would gain 7 mph on the top end and much stability. Interesting concept. Easy install. A little pricey. He said that once the stern jack was installed, the nose cone would yield an additonal 2-3 mph. http://www.land-and-sea.com/public/marine/stern-jack/sternjack.htm

It seems like a good idea; however I talked with the guy that has the Seebold Eagle listed on the the Land & Sea Customer Test Results page (http://www.land-and-sea.com/public/marine/stern-jack/stern-jack_results.htm) and he states that he is not sure that his dramatic increase in top speed on his boat was from the Stern Jack alone since he installed a blower at the same time!

Save your money! Doesen't give you anywere near the results they claim. Sometimes the speed increase is due to the fact your drive is further back out of the whash water area so the speedo pick up gets a higher reading. I know a couple of people that tried them and did not like them. Also remember a donzi has very little rear in the water now, An Extension will only make you have less running surface. Not good on a smaller deep v hull.
