I guess it would HAVE to be a 71. No imprinted HIN that way. Maybe he meant to say 81 and Sterling, but just got confused somehow. It would be a treat to see the title on that one.

Its not a GT nor is it a 22 2+3. Either its a heavily altered Donzi or its a copy of some sort. There's no lip to the windshield to deck on a GT and there isn't an interior arm rest treatment to a 22.

Bertram Boy's on the ball. That's a GT. You can tell by the unique dash board, the center under console guage pod, storage bins on either side of the cockpit and "around the cockpit" coaming.

Formula Jr.,
Did they not embed the HIN in the hull/glass during that year? The serial # on my 1971 GT was stamped on a piece of aluminum which was riveted to the port stringer.

For 4K I'd steal it. (God only knows, I've got over 4 times that in mine frown.gif ) Hmmm, maybe I should quit the resto and buy it. wink.gif

This might sound stupid, but can anyone see the similarities to the Chris Craft X19 hull form with the incorrect windshield? I will see if Chris Craft made the X19 in a longer version like the one shown. My.02 worth...

Chris Craft made a XK-22 they were all a light cream color with brown stripes

I think that is 21gt also, looks just like my deck. It may have been modified with a w/s and interior.
Not trailer, but sounds like a good buy.

JWright and Jamesbon are right. It's a GT, right down to the same deck horn I have.

Subject: Question for seller -- Item #1803377503

Would you please write back with the exact language on the title to this
boat. There are no 1971 22 2+3s (Classics)

Thanks.

Owen

Why is this boat not getting bids????????/

If I wasn't so deep into my project, I'd pick it up in a heartbeat. HELL of a deal if it stays near 4K.

It just goes to show, that its hard to place values on classics. The 73 GT I bought last year for 4600 needs more work than this one. But when you figure in a new interior, its all pretty even. This already has the prefered cut down wind shield and stainless exhaust. mad.gif

Owen,
The rake on this windshield is way too steep for it to look right. You would end up buying a new one with a more slanted rake anyway to make it look right even if you did buy this one.

"It's not a Classic, it's not a Classic, it's not a Classic"...

That's about all I can say to keep myself from bidding. (And even then....)

Probably no one is bidding cause the seller only has One feedback. Definitly a "look see" boat.

I sent an e-mail to the dealer about this GT. I got a price of $5,000 back from them. Also the drive trim is broke. If the Volvo has trim, that would make it a 270T? The engine in it is fresh and may be worth the $5,000 asking price. The Stainless Exhaust is probably a $1,500 item in itself? Oh, and no trailer to get it home on. Another $1,500 + depending on what you want to put under it. Personally, that w/s just doesn't fit the boat. Takes the nice lines away from the boat. Just my .02 worth.

I'm puzzled, not even one bid on that bad boy.

Is it not a good deal @ 4K? What gives?

I had to look up this old post to let anyone still looking for a GT 21 know. This boat is still on the market at SUNDANCE MARINE POMPANO BCH. FLA. I gave it a real quick look over and it really looked to be in fair condition. You can e-mail them @ www.sundancemarineusa.com (http://www.sundancemarineusa.com)
