A little food for thought. John & I picked up "J&K's" Corsican Saturday and I had a chance to take these.

The Corsican is coming back from a "bottom buff job," and in which case looked awesome. (Randy, you're gonna like these!) Notice the v-drive. John's gotta big Ford for this one, but I'll let him give you the details.

The 28 is being stripped for a complete restoration. Notice how big she is next to the Corsican. We dubbed her "The Destroyer!"

Thanks J&K for the opportunity and hospitality.

Nate
Did J&K buy their 28 in Ontario.
It looks the same as one we went to look at in Sept 2000 just south of Barrie on Lake Simcoe?
Nice pair of boats.

They look great! That Corsican has one heck of a finish. Only trouble I would have if it were mine, is that it is unlawful to own anything that is orange and blue in Tallahassee. In fact, you may have trouble using it anywhere in North or South Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, or other places where Gator fans aren't allowed! biggrin.gif

Beautifull Boat's!!
Those photo's just remind me how soon my X-18 will need to be renovated. It's amazing how time flies. My "New Bilt Rite" Seats are 7 years old. GEOO rolleyes.gif

This one fine piece, can't wait to see it. Beleive it or not I looked for that boat for 5 years. When John and I talked at Orlando, he said "I have it" and showed me pictures of it. I was looking in all the wrong places, hey thats a good title for a song. What luck, he has Wa-lo, the 28, the Corsican, and Kathy too.

Not sure if they're coming to AOTH. Yes, the 28 came from somewhere in Canada.

Randy,
Don't forget about the baby blue 16...

Danny,
John & Kathy have made reservations to be at the "Awakening". My first thought was OH BOY, I get to finally see WA-LO in person. Then Kathy posted that WA-LO would be staying home in the garage. So naturely, a few of us thought that they were coming, but with-out a Donzi. No problem, we offered them the opportunity to ride with us. Low and behold, Kathy then said that they didn't need a ride has there would be a secret unvailing of a new project that John was working on. Thanks Nathan for the early looksy! John, both of your new projects are outstanding. I can't wait to see the V-drive Corsican in Kentucky or maybe the 28? wink.gif

Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the compliments. Who all is going to AOTH II? John and I will be there too! Its going to be great fun, can't wait. Hey I think we need another boat!!!! hahahahahahahahahah
The 28 came from Canada on Lake Simcoe. What a great place that was. We had a blast. The 28 was buried in snow up to the boot stripe but you could tell she was a great find.
Anyways, catch y'all in Kentucky!

I believe he's putting together two more BIG Fords for the 28. He loves those Fords.

J&K,

-----Ol Red here.I might have missed it but was wondering what serial no.your Corsican is.Ive got 18C-32,and it was bought new on July 15 1969.Part of my reasoning is to track down how many Corsicans came with the Donzi Marine chrome side emblems. Also want to broaden my knowledge on these rare models.Mine never had the emblems, but Kens(no.1)did and yours obviously does.Mine also came with the seperate foil letters.Did yours(originally)?Along with this Id love to hear some history on your beautiful boat.
-----I would understand if you choose not to divulge this info.Maybe just the sale date(new)if you know it.Hope to meet you at AOTH II.There is another Corsican with the big Holman-Moody 427/V-drive combo near me in Algonac MI.Ive only seen it twice and have yet to get the serial no.off of it,but will make an effort to get it this summer.Oh,its a twin to the catalog Corsican for color combo. Thanks in advance..........just.........ol red!
