Well I had to move the mother ship today (38') in preperation for the winter haul out.
I pulled all my charts off last week thinking I would use my GPS map if I needed to. But of course I left it on my buddys kitchen counter. Well by the time I got half way to the marina I was going to the fog hit.
So there I am with no chart of any kind and blind expect for radar. I made it within two miles of my destenation and and was able to get a marginal break in the fog and got an outline of a storage building. From there my buddy guided my in to the foggy channel via VHF radio and head lights from the car.
Oh well it will give my buddy something to rib me about all winter until he does the next dumb thing.The moral of this story, MOVE SOUTH.
