Anyone curious how I could fire my 454 at the show without water?

My impeller is on the back side of the drive.
It took Scott and me about 2 minutes to remove it.

Of course everyone knows to never start your engine with a dry impeller.

George
I use muffs all the time on the King Cobra
Just didn't have water at the Portifino and felt the need to make some noise.

RickR,
I will admit to a bit of puzzlement myself when I heard that bad boy start up.
And I'll tell you this, more than one person winced when you fired it up!
Not familiar with the King Cobra, but if you can disconnect the impeller in under two minutes, that sounds pretty cool. Try disconnecting a Merc impeller! Practically impossible to do without a major disassembly.
Your motor sounded good though, I'll give you that!

Thanks, You should hear her without the mufflers at 5200RPM.
