Ask the factory to fax you their speed numbers, I seen the 33 numbers AFTER their test....
You decide, blow this dash shot up!

Most likely just FUN....
A job to dream about...
33's Rock and so do all Donzi's.
Of course I am biased in that opinion... smile.gif
Plus that TShirt came with my boat!

"we would love to test this hot rod with milder power" HELLO take your manhood out of your wife's pocket book, a hot rod by nature is a little wild and uncontrolable that's what it is all about, the thrill is to contol the beast. "not a beginner boat" wait let me go to the starcraft dealer gimme one of them 80 mph starter boats, the one that rides like the QE II eek.gif eek.gif
"the same hull as in 1964" the 22 debuted in the early 80's
come on PB give yourself a shake ,get in the game!

Let me take a shot at some at the upcoming PB article on the 16 Classic:

Powerboat, September, 2002.

"Speeds of over 35 MPH are not advised in this dramtically over powered relic from the 1960's.
We recomend nothing bigger than mercury 3.0 for this platform"

"A windshield would make this boat much more user friendly as wind noise makes pleasant conversation impossible"

"We suggest avoiding all boat wakes in the Classic. Our experience showed that there is a distinct possibility that you could upset Buffy's brie"

These guys need to learn to drive or go back to their jet ski evaluations. The 22SE is my dream boat and this article did nothung to change that for this guy.

Feel better,

Todd

Nice Shot Jkeffe...... The way any responsible classic driver should look..... Hat's off...... But, I think we're missing something..... I think we need another set of DONZI logo's on the classic's...... That area just aft of the lower strake and the transom would work..... By doing that, not only would the local "same day air" crowd know what just blew by em,,,,,,, but the average, PowerBoat Mag, reader will understand how real test drive handling techniques should look in a classic...... "don't get me goin" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, Roadtrip..... Dallas, Boat show..... What day's ya goin.....

Ya, know,,,,,, I really don't want to cut the test driver's any slack, but goshhhh,,,, they did look about half petrified, and stiff as board's on that opening spread....... Are they ready for the Cobalt, "ya think".................Later....
