140 HP Lycoming engine, people think thru hull is noisy.
We are in the middle of another snow squall warning and the night before last was -30C. I am getting tired of winter. It's time to put the scoot away and get the boats out but at this rate we may the scoot to get to the cottage for May24.

Great pictures !!! Is it my imagination or is that a flag flying in the background?? Nice scoots, some day I may trade in a couple of kids for one. Was up that way 3 week ends ago on the back of my daughter's boyfriend's Yamaha--"HOLDING ON TIGHT" and hoping he knew what he was doing !!! I am sure we went in right behind your cottage and up through Minnicog, but it was hard to see with my glasses fogged up most of the time.
Great fun; hav'nt been up in the winter for probably 20 years.

Hey Danny,
Do you keep the nose of the scoot up so it doesn't freeze to the ice?

You're right. The friction when running makes the hull warm and then it melts under the hull when you stop and then the hull freezes to the ice, and once you are stuck you are really stuck.

Yes it did. 350 GM block, carries a good payload buts its heavy and I know he's had some problems but I'm not sure if he bought it new or used.
Some interesting hockey coming up in the future, good chance for several Canadian teams to pick up the hardware.

Danny and Boxy,
Lots of trades just before the deadline. The Sens got Brian Smolinski, an MSU product, and they should be very happy with him. The Blues got Osgood...so what, they can have him, he is too inconsistent. Gilmore back to Toronto, Anson Carter (MSU!) to the Rangers...but they need more than that to help them.
The Wings landed Mathieu Schneider, and, based on their past few trade deadline additions, I trust this will be a good move. The price was sort of steep, as Sean Avery and Kuznetsov are fine young players, and we gave up two early draft picks.

Lots of excitement for the playoff push!!!
