Sh#T ! what a mess

While doing some prop testing today I blew a power trim line. Yep, fresh 10W30 all over my new engine compartment and motor. Why, just tell me why does this have to happen right before AOTH. I think I'll go kick the dog.

I had a similar experience this weekend...after a WOT run I stopped to raise the engine hatch, you know, just to check things out, and there is an oil leak from no. 2 motor eek!
after staring at it for about an hour I think I figured it out...a cracked dipstick tube about a foot down from the top...didn't happen again. another item on the list to fix, among many :rolleyes:

I can't kich my dog its a 147 pound Rottwiler and he can kick back. Not to make you feel better I have a leaky trim pump and need a new one.

I gotta HOLE in my intake manifold... the boat is 1200 miles away, cant get near it until mid-June... gotta work 7 days a week, will not be able to make AOTH (again!)... I'd be happy to have to be cleaning out my bilge....

What am I saying... I gotta clean out my engine compartment when I get home... there's a gallon or two of mineral spitits , along with about 8 qts of oil floating around somewhere under the deck......
