Ok I am searching for that nice Donzi Minx but have to ask; In what order would you guys rate the following in regards to quality and their general character: Wellcraft Sacrab (1986 or close 26'), Formula 242, or an early say 1978 Cigarette 24'. All are 350 powered. Not that I would but one of these off brands but I figured you guys and gals might have some info for a FRIEND of minewho has some leads on these models that HE might buy. Once again any info is greatly appreciated. I know this is Donzi site but we all can be open minded??? Thanks Brian

The 24' Cig. is really a nice boat but it takes a lot of power to move it. One powered with a 330 TRS can barely break 50 MPH. My brother has one with a 526 cu. in. (about 550 H.P.) When I'm doing 70 MPH, I am pulling away from him.

My hearts in my Donzi! But for a great all around boat my absolute favorite was my 23 Formular an oldie with power most have not seen. Twin Volvo 6 cylinders with three carbs yes a factory setup, ran great offshore was pretty fast and never ever broke also fairly cheap to run. Had a wonderful cuddie one could get lost in for hours on end cistineb

The 242 Formula is built like a tank, and almost as fast as one. :) We absolutely love ours. The 242 with a 350 will definetly be underpowered. Mine has twin 350's, and it's not gonna pin anyone back in the seat.
