The moment we've all been waiting for...The Captain returns to the ice!
The crowd roars, but also hold their collective breath.
His surgery has rarely been performed on a human, and never on an athlete.
If all goes well, the longest -standing captain, in any sport ever, will help return The Cup to Detroit for the 11th time.
GO WINGS!

Stevie Freakin Yzerman, he returns to action exactly 1 year after leading Canada to a Gold Medal in the Olympics...

It's great to see him back, I didn't honestly think he would make it back.

Check out this story for a little glimpse into what they did to his knee.....Stevie Y's Story (http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/020301/6/kdll.html)

Boxy,
Figure a Canadian to appreciate hockey like you do...thanks for the link about Yzerman. It mentions a documentary made by CBC, Steve Yzerman: The Quiet Superstar , by Paul Harrington. That would be cool to see if I could find it.

The Wings win tonight in a wide open affair, and Yzerman actually played more than I thought he would. April and May are awesome because I bust out the Donzi and it brings playoff hockey...the best contests in sport. Bring the Cup back to Detroit, Stevie Y.!!!
