I would still be patient. Not to sound like a know it all, but listen to what you are saying. It sounds like before with your last post in regards to the 240 Baja that you are settling for something you don't really want. I know of a couple of 26ZX's that might be under the 50 mark, and that is without really even thinking about it. Be patient and buy something you do not feel like you have to apologize for, something you will enjoy paying for, cleaning, and most of all having fun in. Whatever you decide.....good luck.

FASTTRUCKER, Slow down, it seems like your money is burning a hole in your pocket. (we all have been there) you will find a DONZI. if you rush into the baja just remember, at the end of the day its still not a DONZI.

PS: my father inlaw has a real nice baja (454)it looks good, sounds good but I still kick its ass!
and I have spent far less then the what he did on his boat.

PSS: GO DONZI GO DONZI GO DONZI GO DONZI

Our club:
We had a 2000 27 Baja, he traded in 2001.

We have a 25 Outlaw, was a 454, under powered. Now a blown 500! Lake boat.

We have a 32 with Twin 540's and it ROCKS!
FRANK C, he was in the NJ power boat club, his name is STAN, boat name X-TASY.
He is our new neighbor.

I wouldn't own a small one, but the big ones are very nice when properly powered.

If I was you, I would buy a DONZI. Cut and dry.

There are lots of deals to be had, search DONZI on every search engine on the web, that is how I found mine, my dealer was on a non big name search engine, and I found him!
Good Luck.

There is (or was) a 99 26zx for sale down here for the same price the Baja is. It has a 502 and 96 hours on it. I haven't looked the last couple weeks to see if it was still there.

Man,

I will give you the names of our customers that have their 26's for sale. Please do not buy the Baja if your not happy with it, if you are then go ahead with the deal. Our opinions matter to a degree, but if you are happy than we will all be happy for you. Good luck!

Keep your head up and keep looking! A couple of years ago I wanted a Donzi but couldn't afford one and had albut givin' up. I was one week from putting a deposite on a new 25 outlaw. I decided to go on-line again and check out the Ozarks boat shops one last time and there she was. A spotless 1998 28zx, less than 40 hours on a 454 mag for $52,000! I am sooooo glad I waited and kept looking. The 25 Outlaw is a nice boat but isn't built like a Donzi!

Good Luck!!

fast trucker, youll be sorry with the outlaw, when you see a little 18ft classic blow by you.

I have personally done this and happen to find out that a bunch of people were talking about it.

There are TWO warranty fees, one on the Hull to Donzi and one for Zcare, $75 and $125 if I am not mistaken.
Let me share my day/evening. We were out today in real 3 to 5 footers, some larger.......
T-1648 EST
Wind Direction (WDIR): SSE ( 150 deg )
Wind Speed (WSPD): 19 kts
Wind Gust (GST): 19 kts
Wave Height (WVHT): 4.0 ft
Dominant Wave Period (DPD): 8 sec
Atmospheric Pressure (PRES): 30.23 in

You could look down in each swell, biggest water I have been in with the 26ZX, we ran 45 to 50 MPH and the boat was like a tank... solid, in the water. Longest damn 20 miles of the year!
DONZI's rule! Period.

For what it is worth I owned a 26ZX before I bought my 33. I run on a lake that Baja outnumbers all other performance boats 20 to 1. My 26zx with a 454 mag would beat the 25 outlaws with a 502 day in and day out and would get you there in one piece. I sold my 1999 26zx 1 1/2 years ago for a $2000 loss over what I paid for it, try that with a Baja. Everyone on the Lake loved my 26 and now 33ZX, the only reason they don't buy a donzi is that they are burried in their boat. Best of luck but always remember that when you buy a performance boat you will likely need to love it since it takes a long time to catch up with the depreciation. :p

28ZX,

If I had to guess I think I met you at Shooter's one Saturday evening. If you do not mind me saying you had two very attractive young ladies with you. If it was you, the only reason I remember is both those girls(I do not mean any disrespect by this), we wearing like bright green and yellow bathing suits and you kept driving around all day while we worked over at the marina. Everytime we had a break at the marina we were like man did you see that 28ZX driving around with those girls in the boat. Anyway for some crazy reason I remember this dumb story, but I remember the boat being a 28ZX from the Omaha area that had found it at Kelly's. have to keep close tabs on all the Donzi's running around.

Barry,

It sounds like my wife (long blode hair) and Tina (short blonde hair) a couple of years ago. What marina were you working at? I think we will be down there a couple time this year. I'm gonna' try my hand at the Bud Shoot-out this year for my birthday.

Tina will become a Formula girl Friday. They are getting a 27' Friday but I did talk them out of a Baja they were looking at.

Our highway store is next to Bentley's steak house on business 54 in Lake Ozark, and our marina is the large marina what next to the Grand Glaize bridge, across from Topsider.

YES, I do know where you are at. I'm just trying to figure out when. I know we were in that marina looking at the Donzi cruiser and a 28zx you had there.

We stay alot of times across from there at Robins Resort. Its cheap and has nice slips.

Were currently trying to pick a date to come back down there and figure out where to stay. Some of the guys we go down with like to stay someplace nicer than Robins.
