Fellas,

I just put down the deposit on the 96 Classic. I went with class instead of flash. Although I like the 22ZX, I thought the C22 would be a better value down the road. I will be taking a test drive this Sat. Boat has less than 150 hours and has been in fresh water. I thought the motor was a 7.4, but it turns out to be a Mag with B1. Dealer says that the outdrive does not have a scratch and has been kept inside.

If anybody has a thought on a certain part or past C22 problem to look for would be appreciated.

I'll email pics when a gettem.

Dear Laidback,
The 1996 model did have a few problems you should be aware of. Do not under any conditions pull up near or against a pier or dock while test driving the Classic. Previous male drivers have done so and the boat was immediately surrounded and in some cases filled with beautiful women wanting fast boat rides. Be very cautious! eek!

FastE,

I already can't sleep as it is. Now you went and pushed me over the edge. Saturday can't come quick enough. I will be sure to take a pic with the boat full of honey.

Christ, everybody ends up with a 22 anyway. You just skipped a few boats and went right to the good stuff. Enjoy. BTW, mace does not work on blonds. :D

Good choice Laidback. The '96 22 Classics were the fast ones :) Congratulations. You'll like that a lot. If it has silent choice, open up the exhaust and run it to see if it stays open without bleeding off air, thus closing and re-routing the exhaust through the prop.
Just in time for AOTH II at Lake Cumberland. Get with Last Tango, from your area, and drive on up. Absolutely the best way to enjoy your new boat.

L.B.,
22C has great style and is a comfortable size.
I agree with your value statement.

Tomahawk,

The C22 has straight pipes, although I am planning on adding the captain's choice in a few months. I do not have to worry about noise because I am on the St. Johns River.

Laidback Congrats!

Fasteddie is right, Donzi's are babe magnets I love the 22 but I prefer the 16, the wrap around sitting is very comfortable for sex on the high seas!
good luck and welcome to the family!
