There is a visible difference between these two style cranks but I am not sure which one is which. One has a sharp edge to it and the other is a smooth edge along the edges. I might be trying to track down a 283-forged crank for a seasoned high nickel block that I have. It’s tough to find these archaic things so I need to refresh the brain a little to track the right one down. I have tried to see if Eagle makes any but with no luck.

Thanks,
Craig

cast iron cranks have the sharp parting line, forged have a smooth line.

I had a feeling but I was not too sure.

Thanks MAXCAT!
