Hi,
I have used a Hill nose cone on my 250 series Volvo drive.

It adds to providing a clean block of water to the propeller, that is without any air bubbles that cost power and cause cavitation and burning of propeller.

I also found that it improved my steering and reduced that dreaded tourque event.

Works for me.

Kevin, I tried a nose cone on my Volvo 290. Lost 1mph but the steering was better. A nose cone is needed when you start to reach speeds so high that the water can no longer hit the propeller. This is called blow-out. Other wise it creates more drag. I would not put a cone on an old Volvo unless you are Running in the 70's. http://206.150.187.82/ubb/frown.gif GEOO
