I put a chip in my X5 and there is a noticeable increase in acceleration. I too would like to know if the 496 could be chipped. Anyone know?

The boat engine takes a repromed ECM complete. I was talking to an ex Merc engineer who worked on some of 2.5 ob and the big block Ecm stuff. I was watching him do this to Grimes ECM controlled carb. I may be giving him some parts next week. If I remember I will ask Don if someone does it the right way.

When you see what they are doing with car's and chips boats can't be far behind. It is amazing the horsepower/performance increase that a simple chip will produce. Crazy horse did you get a new 22... If so with 496 or 502? biggrin.gif
