OK I went to the AC boat show and I am pretty sure that I found the boat for me. I am hoping to purchase a used, since I can't afford new, 22' ZX or a Z22.
I have two questions:
1) Are there any pros / cons to either boat? Which would you prefer?
2) Are there companies that will finance a used boat?

Thanks

I am brokering a used donzi through a local NJ dealer that would finance it. (1998 22ZX)

Z22 has a lot more room and has a nice ride, I have been in one several times. The 22ZX is a very fast boat without a great deal of room for passangers. Just my $.02

I agree the Z22 has more room and the 22ZX will be the faster of the two. Pick the one that has the more likes. As far as financing there are plenty of places to help you out there. If you like give Jackson a call and we can set you up with financing pain free. Might even throw in a insurance quote for you as well.

1996Z15, I was at the Atlantic City show with Typhoon Performance Marine I am getting in a sweet looking 1998 22ZX with a load rite trailer in great condition, I know the owner well. The boat has 270 hours on her and the price is right!
We use a number of finance companys and Insurance is no problem for that boat.
If interested give me a call at 732-477-6157

Thanks for all of the replies; I am not in the market at this moment. Probably in a year but I guess I was wrong about the Z22. I thought that was what a 22ZX was called when it didn't have the stepped hull.

I guess I should ask again, between the 22ZX with stepped hull and the 22ZX without is there any noticable difference?

You might want to go up in size to a 26zx or a 28zx.You will be surprized to learn the more money you borrow the longer the term.Ihave a 15yr loan on my 28zx,payment is $490.Hell thats a lot less then the corvette i was going to buy. wink

I know of a 2001 26' ZX, 425 hp without a trailer that is a repo. It is at Alwaves Marine in Ny. Might be able to get a good deal. Ask about DNAZ5026A101. I'm not sure which bank is holding the note, but you can search the Ave retail price and then submit an offer.
