Anyone have the fore and aft dimension of the INSIDE engine compartment opening? 22 only please.

Lenny mine measures 37 3/4 ".Inside edge to inside edge on opening.Not actual hatch.

A small block is 37" long. Complete. Can you pull one straight up through this opening with exhaust on?

On a big block boat (Chevy) do you still turn it 90 degrees to lift it up? Do the exhaust manifolds stay on?

Ted, what is the inside width measurement of your two stringers? ...and are they notched on the starboard side for the motor or straight without mod's?
