Sam, you got to come up to the Tittabawassee River this summer if you like this kind of thing. There are several fast Pontoon boats, but there is one Tri-Toon boat that when he goes around a corner he rides on one pontoon. It's really something to see. I don't think he does anything near 81 MPH though.

No 80 MPH boat, but I saw a pontonn boat the other day with Alpha stern drive and thru-hull exhaust

My brother just picked up a two year old 27' World Cat with twin 200HPDI's, it runs 50+ but feels like that pontoon boat looks!!!

All they need to do is add so foam under the rear deck to displace some air and that Pontoon boat would pick up and fly.

I've not seen any pontoons like the one pictured, but a few years back in one of my boat rags, there was a guy running the then biggest Merc available (2.5) Times two! eek! One on each pontoon! Can't remember the speed they said he was doing, but I'll bet it was very close to this 81 MPH one. :D

Wondering how the heck all that alluminum stays where it is supposed to at those speeds!
