Thanks guys! :D I'm pretty proud!

Yes it is the boat from West Virginia. It turned out to be a real diamond, under all that rough!

For the grime, I used Simple Green, and a scrub brush. Then I took everything I could reach off, and scrubbed, and or painted with Old Ford Blue enamel. Replaced the plug wires, polished the flame arrestor and voila! All pretty. I'm still shopping for valve covers (Holman Moody if I can swing 'em). And I may still polish the manifolds/risers.

DredgeKing, if you are talking about the M1's (SBC) that were on Ebay a couple of weeks ago, I bought 'em! Just couldn't pass them up. Don't have risers, though.
I love the ones on my Ford. They look sexy, and if you flush them I guess they'll last a while. I understand they don't flow as well as the new center riser type, but they also don't cost $1400!

Dredgeking,
I was talking to a guy the other day and he said he had a set of Gale Banks exhaust manifolds that were used for one season on a s.b.c. If you are interested I can send you a pic.

Let me know,
Mark

Nice job looks clean enough to be an ad for that year. I think it was Griz that said the logs flowed pretty decent, whats more important is they look great.

I'm impressed, based on my close intimate experience with 3 older 70's era Donzi's, I thought the only way to have one running was to pull the engine and rebuild it. In one case three or 4 times, in another (Stuarts) 7 plus times, in mine, hell I just left it out. This way I don't have to pull it in and out and can just continue to fix what isn't broke.
Looks as though you bought the right boat. Congratulations
