New garmin

I know dumb question but
Is the conversion for knots to mph 1.3 mph to 1 knot.

I believe it is closer to 1.1 but i may very well be incorrect.

YOu can go to setup and switch the readout to mph on most of the garmins...

Most people say 1.2 but its closer to 1.150, Grab the book and change it to miles. Speed sounds better in miles an hour, my fish boys talk in the 30 knot range.

A "nautical" mile is 6076.1 etc. feet as opposed to 5280 feet for a "land" mile. Ergo 6076.1/5280~ 1.15. Use that to convert if you need to.
