No. That is Aronow, Dave Stirrat and Mark "Big Dirty" Raymond. This picture is from the '66 Miami Nassau race. They tore the side right off the boat. In its previous race, Aronow, Bobby Moore and I won the Houston Channel Derby. You couldn't sit down in those boats. After 180 miles in a 6' head sea, you would look like "Mini-me".

I know that jumping the wake of a free-running tug or tanker tends to make one hold ones breath for minutes at a time. In the 1966 race, Red Adair had bought the 1965 winner, "Holocaust", a 23' Formula with twin turbo small blocks on one shaft. When he asked our guys about fuel quantity, he was told to "fill 'er up". "Hell, it's only 75 miles!" "You'll probably spill more than you burn!"
