Stock exhaust vs. Upgrade

On a 1985 stock Volvo 290, is it worthwhile to spend the big bucks on Imco, Gil, Corsa, Stainless Marine or other aftermarket exhaust or is there no appreciable gain.

GN - yes, you can get a little better performance with a better exhaust set-up. I use a set from Stainless Marine. They fit well and they do help. Suggest you contact Brownie at Stainless Marine in Miami as he can answer your questions. Or, go talk to him at the Miami Boat Show next month, Feb. 14-19. The value is your call but, many folks on this site use Stainless headers, and others, with success.

There is a good advtage over e stock system you have. I like Stainless Marind overthe others mentioned. The weigh is signifincantly less over stock.
