I was looking through my collection of Donzi
sales brochures and I have one that offers the "New 22 Classic". Can some help me ID the year? None is shown. The boats outlined are the 18",Hornet III,22" and a Criterion II
which I never seen. Thanks in advance , This is my first post a new member, Thanks to D Carone for the tip! Great site...

GL,
Welcome to the board. Sorry I can't help you with the year for your brocher, but the folks on this site know all there is to know about the Donzi boat. Someone here will know the first year for a 22' Classic. Interested in knowing myself!

Sounds like the 1980 when the CriterionII was introduced. Criterions started in 1979 through 1981 or 82. Mine is a 1981 Criterion.

I have an old Donzi brochure from 1984. On the inside of the first page it says,"New DONZI 22-2+3". If that is the first year they cost 28,900 with the 260hp Merc. 32,025 with the 300hp Merc. tempest, 34,445 with the 330hp Merc., 29,125 with the 260hp Volvo and 30,855 with the 290hp Volvo. Hope this helps. BTW the Criterion II was 48,648.

No, I remember seeing a 22 at the Philadelphia, PA boat show around 1980. It was Chismom's boat. A 22 with a 350. Even he admited to me "I could use more power". Must of been a slug.
