Was just wondering about Toonafish has I was reading posts tonight. She used to be here all the time and always added a special aspect to most of the posts she participated in. Meeting her at Eufaula this year was special because she had us in stitches then also. She rode in my Classic at Eufaula and I was honored as I surely did not have the fastest boat in attendance nor was I the most experienced driver at the gathering.

Sure hope all is well with her. I also hope one of the GA folks can tell us whats going on with Toona so if needed, I could at least offer some help to one of our family members.

There was a thread started Oct 13 on the same topic. 'May shed some light on the subject. I would put a link to it here but don't know how. I hope everything is OK.

I remember it was about her fathers health, Still surprising it has been over a month without any comments.

Ms Toonafish is alive and well, and just as sardonic as ever.... She graced my -email with this message today.

"Oh, Owen, thank you so much for checking on me! I'm alive and well, just swamped and trying to keep my head above water. Tell everyone that I'm just ducky and will return to my obnoxious post-ho self when things settle... and let them know that I've just come back from reconnoitering Destin Beach as a possible Seadogs port of invasion... only thing missing from the trip was MY Donzi! How's your Tufted Tithouse coming along?

Bunches of hugs to the smelly dog,

Celene"

Toonafish,

I see you up there. How have you been?!? You've been missed! :)

You guyz!!! You missed me? :D And I keep you in stitches? You really need to raise your standards! wink

As my note to Owen said, just been slammed - someone needs to find a way to add a couple more hours to a day. (And remind me not to let him get his hands on my diary, lest he publish it on the Net!)

Dad's Parkinson's is still not responding well to the magic pills, but his social life doesn't seem to be suffering... rumor has it he was seen at the theatre with June Riggle while Tom was out of town. eek!

I'll try to be better about posting - but it'll be a struggle to read all the previous topics... ya'll stop talking for awhile so I can catch up!

Missed you guys too and forgive me my absence... penance will be reading every post every written on what oil is really the best. Harsh.

Oh, and Jenn, hurry up and turn 40... I highly recommend it!

Bunches,

Celene 'and NO ONE dare mention the Florida game in my presence'

Toona, we should compare notes sometime, my dad was diagnosed in 1992.
The meds have got him this far but this by far has been his worst year.
He just sold his truck, no more driving after a few mishaps this year. He and his older brother (68 and 72) both have it, rare in the same immediate family, my uncle was diagnosed later and declined very fast.
Dad is seeing a new a specialist in Columbus Ohio.

(And remind me not to let him get his hands on my diary, lest he publish it on the Net!) Oh! No! So, I guess asking for a picture of your bottom is now out of the question? :D

Whoa there, LocoCaballo... you owe me mail, for once... didn't you get my email before Club Sota? I told you to buy drinks for everyone all night Saturday and sent you my credit card number... don't tell me you didn't get that note!

And Master Hyper, I'd be seriously concerned if you did miss me! Are you studying hard so I'll get to meet you at AOTH? Mr. Boldt has a requirement of a 3.2 GPA before boarding... I had to show him my report card at Eufala... 'course it was fairly yellowed with age, but...

Awe Celene, here I was looking forward to firing up the cooker and preparing a little pecan-smoked turkey real soon. Then you got to start putting that full frontal stuff on the Donzi.net. What's a man to do now? Cook it or just look at it?

Seriously though, welcome back, the board isn't the same without your stuff going on!

Great to have you back in circulation Toona Fish! We really miss your masterful use of the english language. Speaking of Parkinson's Disease, my Alma Mater of The University of Iowa just received a 14 million $ grant to work on medications for it. I have a close friend who is suffering from it and is 55 years old. He fights it in many ways. Gets up and takes a dry heat infrared sauna every morning before work, plays a round of golf at lunch and then back to work for a few hours and then home for a nap at 5:00. The shaking in his hands is less noticable if he is calmed and not stressed out. He tries to get plenty of rest and takes his meds as precribed. It's always a battle for him. He is in his 5th year and struggles to stay on top of it each day. Hang in there and welcome back!

PS, My Hawks need a win at Minnesota this weekend for a Rose Bowl Berth, I'm outta here to cheer them on in the dome!
