Thomas Roonberg sent me about a dozen pics from Sweden I believe from the beginning of these, the sixteen, from his local boat mags of days gone by.

The point I want to make is that in picture two,

There are no DONZI decals, just the script. My 16 is the same way, never had them (decals) as the old faded outline shows all, and you will notice the more pronounced angular hook on the outside chine on the port side of this hull. Mine has the same hook as this on Port, not starboard, they are not the same, and it is NOT an effect of a trailer. The fairing is PERFECT just inside of it to the strake and runs out perfectly. Both sides.
It is stripped now (mine). There is no previous damage, and like I said, it is a perfect, convex surface, port and starboard, but the chine on port is a little "NUTS".
Still, no felt pen or indicators other than '64-65...
What is with the decals on this one?. Most are almost square in configuration, but these are much more rectangular. Is it an optical thing?
My original '64-65 ones measure 5" wide by about 6 3/4" to the "tip". My script was about 11 5/8" long. First decal was down 3 1/4" from underside of rubrail glass and in 2" from transom. 7" of hull was left below the decals "tips" to chine...
Curious,... wink
oh, and the 1965 wiring layout...don't know if this stuff is new or not...

...and this is what today here looks like, (Tuesday OCT 29/02) strong wind, nice ocean, Japan is just to the right of the land, (only about 3000 miles of Ocean away) Land ends about a mile to the West, (to the right) you are looking due South. Its all open from there...this is NOT the "Gulf Islands" ( East) side of Victoria. This is the other side (West) the "open" side...these are not "small waves"...about 6-8'...That's the US of A you see, about 15 miles from us on shore. At it's closest, (San Juans) it is about 5 NM...from shore...but the currency exchange will kill you...
