Yes, I finally got the boat on the water and got it to do more then float. Still have a bit to do, but it was running and sounding great today on the Potomac.

Yeah, but that one picture looks awesome! The deck looks so good. DONZI should seriously consider building some more X-18's. "They's Way Cooooool!!!!!" I'm still wondering about the X-18 stripe. Looks like thats a 12"(+-) wide stripe. I thought the wide stripe came in the 80's, but the X-18's were built in the 70's. That's 2 X-18's I've seen that look like a wider stripe. Maybe its an optical illusion (I know I'm pretty close to needing glasses). Anybody know about the stripe dates??

Very cool Brad. She was beautiful before and now she is gorgeous. Can't wait to see her run at the Awakening.

See you and Amy in the Keys...

Great picture Brad! It looks like it was taken in front of, or just north of, Old Town Alexandria. Great boating up there, too. Just watch out for the logs!

Craig, you are right about the X-18 stripe, it was wider than the same year 16 or 18.

Okay, for you Madpoodle, here is a short clip (http://www.donzi.net/photos/MOV02581.MPG)(3MB) for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks all, it has been a long time coming.

Cliff, the cleaver is great. Love the hole shot and the mid range. Boat handles great with it. I haven't really been able to get on it just yet. Will keep you posted. I am running the cleaver in the clip above.

I was one happy camper yesterday just being on the water and having it running. Making a few changes this week and plan to be back out (no mater how cold it may be) this upcoming weekend for testing. --bverd

Thanks Forrest. My curiousity is satisfied. The X-18 looks cool with the wide stripe.

Beautiful boat. Is that a repaint or gel? Forgive me if my question was already answered.

Brad, My 5 yr old daughter said it all when she saw the video. Look daddy, that Donzi is soooooo COOOOOOL. Play it again! After about 10 runs, we finally closed the window. Both of us smiling from ear to ear! :D
