I was approached by a registry member whose wife has been diagnosed with cancer.

He would like to sell chances at 100 dollars apiece. The proceeds from the raffle would pay off the boat loan of 22,500 with the remainder going to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Elkhorn Wisconsin.

Does this sound attractive to you guys?

Should we limit the amount of tickets to 300 or sell more?

How should we draw a winner? I could write a piece of softwaer that could use a random generator (based on the powers of pi) to pick a winner from an entry database or have someone pick a number.

The drawing will limited to Donzi registry member only. F(olks who have registered by 01/26/03).

I would like to make this as fair and impartial as possible so that could possible buy a chance.

Give me your feedback ASAP. He would like to do this as soon as possible.

I believe it is for a good cause.Whenever the raffle is set up , I'm in. JIM
PS. Do you really think 300 tickets can be sold at 100.00 a clip, solely to members only? I'd be surprised if that is possible. Just food for thought.

My thoughts and prayers go out to whomever it is.

My two cents is that I have someone who is very dear to me fighting Cancer right now, and I know how difficult it can be for everyone involved. If the proceeds over and above the loan are going to help others who are fighting this disease, then limiting the number would only limit the good that could come out of this.

God speed to a full recovery,
Fish

I say you should sell as many tickets as possible and have the drawing at one of the upcoming Donzi events for 2003. Have an unbiased child pick the winner. Obviously you would not have to be present to win.

This is where I am at on the lottery.

I have a call in to the Texas Lottery commission. I want to make sure I do not get visited by the "men in Black".

We would definitely be interested in a ticket, this is a very unfortunate circumstance and we will support this any way that it develops.

I’m very surprised that more reply’s didn’t come back on this Topic!

I will take 10 – 15 tickets.

Where else can you get into a 300 ticket raffle with a chance of winning a boat like this?

Our thoughts and prayer are with your family.

Hang in there!
