I know the photos are terrible. This is my first photo post. Borrowed a camera. Deck off resto. New Paint to original color and stripe. White deck blue gunnals white bottom, single narrow stripe. No boot stripe. Have installed stickers since photos were taken. New aluminum fuel tanks. New interior. New windshield.Painted engine compartment. Hynautic internal power steering. (safer than original cable drive)Engines are not in yet will put them in next month. The 351s dynoed within two hp of each other. 349 and 352 at 5200 rpm respectfully. Flat top roller motors. Look stock except for the tall Moroso valve covers. Installed dual 3/8" fuel lines to feed the motors instead of original single 3/8" fuel line. (32 years of fuel starvation, no s%&t!)Painting the motors this weekend. Have been doing a restore not an update within reason. Original gauges(not original Hooters key fobs)Haven't got the new carpet yet. Hope to get some better pictures in the future. Rick :D

Looking great so far! Cant wait to see the engines installed. Lots of 21 GT stuff on the board in the past few days...Chris dragged one (someone else's) home, Someone mentioned a 21 with a jet drive, and one with HM power too....tis the season i guess.

Yea Chris, The boat only has 450 hours on it and two motor rebuilds that I know of. Still original motors and outdrives. I think the previous owners would run it flat out into a lean condition and bammo get frustrated fix and sell. I have owned the boat since 89'. The engines would pull 4600 RPM with 19p props and 4600 rpm with 26p props. Go figure. Looking forward to sea trials. I also have 100 gallon fuel capacity previous was 96 and we moved the tanks foreward about a foot to help accomodate the aft cg. Rick

Rick,

She's looking fantastic! I always liked that GT since the first time I saw her up for sale. I just wasn't ready for a project Donzi. The lure of twins in a 21' boat and you know I love the color combo. :D

Rick,

-------PMed you before I caught this thread.Boat looks awesome! No,awesome wouldnt be cool enough for what I see.Gotta find a thesaurus!!!!!
-------For those of you that care,I rode in this boat in 1971,when it was owned by a friend of John Chisholms.Went from 188th street up to Lauderdale for lunch.I wish I could remember his name.I even had a chance to buy it,but wanted a new one(dumb, dumb, dumb).Johns friend had ordered a new 21GT with a single 427 Merc race motor with No.3 Speedmaster, and no longer needed the twin.I dont know where that 2nd boat went but it was,for a long time, the fastest DONZI I had ever been in.Absolutely the brightest yellow that could be sprayed with white and orange trim.........Bill S.......ol red!

Whoooa! That is sharp! Wonder if every guage light works. If they do, there's is no way you could see to drive at night!!! I only have 4 out of 6 guage lights working and they make it harder for me to see at night. Could be my 40 yr. old eye balls too. I can't see at night as good as I use to. I know some keep boat guage bulbs out because of this. Don't really need to see the speedo or gas guage at night. I guess a dimmer switch would work. Hmmmmm???? Anyway, awesome GT21.

This has Holman Moody Windsors. The Exhausts almost touch in the middle with these. I think you would have to stagger the big blocks.....now thats an idea. Hey Pearson how about a bench seat Classic 22 with staggered small blocks or a 21GT with staggered big blocks? Man I got to get back to work! Rick

This boat is way cool. Old Red it wouldn't have mattered back than you would have sold it any. Look I sold my origonal 289 Cobra anothe dumb move on my part. I have even sold some of thr rearest motorcycles too. I learned my lesson. Red just think what you have now a great El Pescador, your forgiven! Rick don't give Pearson any Ideas.
