All rigging on a Donzi should be salt water compatable. Even if you don't boat in salt water the future owner of your baby might.

West Marine now has 4' lengths of adhesive lined heat shrink available.

For most connections I use 1.25" of 3/16 ADHESIVE LINED heat shrink (14 to 18 gauge wire) with a BARE crimp connector.
If you cannot find bare connectors just cut the insulation off of regular ones. Use a good name brand crimper that has a slot for bare connectors (Channel Lock, Ideal, Excelite etc..)

This is the ONLY type of connection I use when it will be exposed to water (trailers ,engine compartment, bidlge etc...). If it is a critical connection I also solder.

Also I only used tinned/copper wire (even on the battery cables.

If you have a large order ($150+) try S&J Products (http://www.sjproducts.com)

Yes adhesive lined shrink wrap is a must. I also used ALL adheasive lines shrink connectors and then put the shrink wrap over to of them. Looks factory and super clean! There tighter then a frogs ass. Also before I connected anything in the connectors or at the guages and so forth. I used diaelectic (spelling) grease on everything.

Looped is posting pictures later of the wiring job I did on my 68.
