Well I am tired and it is really, really late (so forgive me if I make little sense) but after about 6 hours under the dash of my X-18 I was able to get all the gauges replaced and rewired (some really needed it too).

My challenge is that previous to what you see above I had an "AMP" gauge. Gaffrig didn't have one so I just went with the "Volts" gauge. No problem. Except when I pulled the "AMP" gauge nothing worked.

This gauge has two power leads coming to it 12volt each, a ground and the ignition wire. Temporarily, I just rewired up this guage under the day. Everything works, but I need to fix this.

Is there a relay that I need to put in it's place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Okay--had the boat out today. First time with the new gauges. All are great except for the Tach. The RPM's are reading a little over double then what they should, even at idle. I am currently set on 8cyl setting, but I also tried all the others. No luck. What am I doing wrong?

350SBC with a standard distributor and ignition.

Help! Thanks,
Rev'ing way, way too high.
