Stereo questions

Hey Guys, I got a reply back from Mike on what the factory is using. So I got some questions.(1) does the stereo draw enough off the battery to warrant adding a second one. the factory does not put a second battery in with the stereo option.(2) has anyone got a install option other than the dash? (i hate to mess up the dash) but it is probably the best option. (3) if I put it in the dash is it going to require support? I know the dash is thick..

rat, you could mount the radio side ways by your feet.
I use to have my vhf radio on the side wall which is right by the drivers feet. The vhf mic broke and I took it out. I put a radio in the place of it.
I really didnt want to cut up my dash.
It works great!

I was thinking of mounting mine like a vhf radio of old, suspending it from a bracket. I will mount it so it hangs just below the dash and no fasteners will be visible.

I once mounted a radio in back of the dash, but the bouncing around made the screws break out of the wood.
hey maybe yours will work where mine failed.
dont screw those screws in to deep or theyll be hurting your feet when you walk on the deck.
