Please help!! Was wondering if anybody had any experience with a custom Donzi trailer hitch cover. I can find a lot of other manufacturers, but no luck on the Donzi one yet. Your help is greatly appreciated. By the way there is only five days of shopping left and I am still trying to start.

I have some CNC machining centers and I could try to make some that have the "billet" look in aluminum. Anyone have some good graphics that they could email me that I could try?

Here is the design...
I was going to machine out the inside circle and donzi outline. Then I was going to fill them with red paint anc clear coat them.

Scot,

Certainly do not mean to bother you, but was wondering if there has been enough of a response to begin production or ordering these hitch covers or just what your plans were. Thanks for your help.

Harbormaster, I have a close friend who owns a Cobalt dealership. He has a client that makes them for Cobalt. They are sharp. If you need, I can talk to him about having some done. He does it for a hobby, and I think they are reasonable in cost and very good quality. Let me know if you would like me to look into it it your deal falls through. He makes them in two colors, black with bronze script and black with silver script.

Count me in, I would take one. Any chance I could get it in Blue instead of red??? If not without paint or clear coat, and I would paint it myself. You have to match the boat, I know Pearson would make his Orange...

OK folks we have some custom receiver hitch covers that will be completely ready in a week. I have enclosed a photo of what they look like. They are machined, polished, billet aluminum. You will need to paint, anodise, or powdercoat it yourself. There are no others like these. We will be selling these for 50.00 + 4 bucks for shipping.
I will post it in the Donzi Registry Gifts Section (http://www.donzi.net/cart) so you guys can buy them online. You can also send a check by mail. There are only 40 of these being made.

Scott,

Same thing here. It didn't take the $4.00 shipping.

Let me know what you what me to do about it.

It also took for ever with the Paypal. Just didn't want to work right.

To the 2 or 3 of you who did not get charged 4 dollars for shipping, don't sweat it. Consider it a bonus for being the first to order.

Registry Member Brad Lyon, spent his evenings, after hours to make these. In order to reimburse his materials and part of his time (and keep him from being stuck with these), I am buying them all from him. They were designed by Brad, so be sure and let him kow how good they look.

Folks you won't find any more like these.

Brad, you did a fabulous job!!! They look super and you know you'll be the only one in town with one! It's amazing the talents of this Donzi gang. Blonde question, though... paint, powdercoat, anondize... could a body shop do that? Or would there be a better or less expensive place to take it?

Celene

Brad Lyon

Celene,

You can easily paint them yourself. The milled "DONZI" and stripes are very deep. You can mask off the top surface and use spray paint or simply use model car paints that come in those little jars. Like I said the milling is very deep. Then if you want you can spray clear coat over top to seal it.

If you want to have it anodized I am sure you can find someone local (look in your yellow pages) that will do it very cheap or maybe free. There are so many colors to choose from in anodizing but if you go with a standard color like black or clear I am sure it will be very reasonable. Just tell them you are not in a big hurry and they can run it next time they are running the color you want. Keep in mind that if you use clear anodize it will remove the bright polished finish.

Last but not least these will really stand out on the back of your tow vehicle. They measure 4" high by 10" long. I am very pleased with how they came out and I think you will as well.

Brad
