DonziDave,
These pics were taken down at busterboard bridge next to T-Bone's on lake Wylie, SC. It's got to be the boat we spoke of earlier.

Tselby - You bet your sweet a** that's it!
Great pictures. I only saw it in the water, and it was going so fast that I didn't have time to take it all in. Do you know the brand of the hull and drive? I wonder how much that rig cost? Way out of my league!
By the way, do you boat on Wylie? Which Donzi? I live at the mouth of Withers Cove and have a '86 red/white 18. Let's get together for some boatin'

How come this "ARNIE" (or is it an "ARNIE"?) doesn't have Geoo's wing thing and therefore how well is the ride angle contolled? Certainly there has to be some serious control over the issue at +100MPH!. It doesn't seem to have a movable shaft (port to starboard) either. Is it fixed?

Yeah, ha ha, I bet it's FAST!!!...but can it back up?

Hey len, your right! the shaft doesnt move, THe RUDDER moves, you see the hydraulics on the top?
they move the rudder.
:p

hey donzi tester, if you plan on building a turbine powered boat you better sell your house. $275,000 for an engine.

Ahh screw it, go for it, build a little bed on the boat, you can live there.

I bet the ride on that boat is insane.
I think if I ever get a ride on a boat like that, once the boat hits 150mph I would let out this horribly evil laugh and scare the **** out of the passenger or even the driver.

ive hit 160mph in my sold 300zx twin turbo :( :( I miss it so much but not the tickets.
when I hit 160 mph me and my freind were laughing uncontrollably. it was great :o

I think ill aim for a super charger right now. :D

Donzitester, I'm with you. Can you imagine the roost you could throw with a turbine?

1370 hp @6000 rpm's weighing 350 lbs!

Blackhawk,
At http://www.gas-turbines.com/allison.htm are pics of Squirt one. A 19' boat with a small block allison.
Looks like it would fit bettween the stringers of an 18'. Check it out!

DonziDave,
I usually hang out below Mt. Island dam. on lake Wylie. A freind of mine has a house their. Were either in my yellow and black 18, or his white and red Baja 208 islander with bravo 3. Drop me an e-mail off line. We went down to T-bones Sat night. Saw
some wild rides pull in. One guy had a Donzi Mink. But he didn't care to talk much about it.
