It was a fun day. We put 90 miles on the boat running from St Pete, to Sarasota, to Venice, and back to St Pete. I only had to put Debbie overboard twice to pull grass out of the water pickup, and once to pull me off a sandbar. On the way in to Venice, a porpoise came up and let her pet it. On the way out, the same porpoise came up, and when she put her hand down to pet it, the porpoise bit her. :( It obviously was used to being fed, and thought her fingers were food. It turned loose as soon as it figured it wasn't food. Deb said it didn't hurt as much as the gator that bit the same hand when she was young. :)

Porpise's name is "Beggar" and yep, he'll nip your fingers if you're not quick.

I you ever verture further, south about 16 miles from Venice is "Fish Tales @ Stump Pass Marine" they have good food and beverages, a pool and live entertainment on the weekends. Nice beach right off the intercostal also.

Scott, I sized that pic to save space. I'll check to see if I have the original. I have others with your boat in them also. I'll email you what I have.

Cuda,
Great pics! (and nice job posting them.)
Looks like all of you Seadogs are havin' a great time in sunny fla. :D
But I have to warn you.... Bob and Ranya (naut 4 sail) are two of the original Winni bandits, so if anyone comes up missing don't say you weren't warned!! eek!

Thanks for the heads up Susie. I thought there was something suspicious about those two. :) Sent down to infiltrate the Seadog clan, eh?

Actually they were upstanding boaters. One of our boats lost power after going over one of those huge cruiser wakes. I stopped to make sure they were ok, and naut 4 sail was a little ahead of us. They came back to check as well. The disabled boat drifted into shallow water where I couldn't get to them with a 24 and twins. I told Bob if he could get them over to the channel, I would tow them, but Bob went ahead and pulled them to a dock to try to get it running. We all continued up to Venice, and on the way back, stopped to check on the boat. Bob had them in tow again. I thought this showed the true fellowship of the spirit.

Come to think of it, has anyone seen HB since then? It may have been a ruse by the Bandits to pick off a victim, not unlike a wolf getting the disabled prey.

I only submit this picture in case it is needed as proof to solve the case of the missing seadog. This is the last know photo of them, under the power of a hereto unknown Bandit. I will feel terribly responsible if they end up in the same dire situation as Digger. :(

Nice pics, Debbie & Cuda. Let's try to get together at the Bridgeview restaurant on Boca Ciega Bay this weekend, as you suggested. Let Smila & I know.

I also thought that everyone showed that we stuck together. I felt badly that we were too far ahead to see that Heller-boy broke down. I emailed him, but haven't gotten a reply yet as to how he has done with the repair.

Nice get together.

What I learned when hanging out with the Donzi fast boats, (16,18,&22s):

When the gun sounds, don't try to get out of the hole and get the jump on them with a 33 footer. Major cavitation made me looks kinda stupid. :-)

Richard, we will call you when we get a better grip on what we're doing this weekend. As it stands right now, I have to go to Orlando tomorrow to start a job, but HOPE to be back Friday night. Do you take your boat out at night?
