Okay, here's the challege! I am thoroughly confused. As far as I know the switch from barrelback was made sometime in 1968. I am trying to get a more definitive answer of what year my boat is? Now I am hearing of factory? refits due to the poor quality of imco drives. This is what I know so far as factual. The hull number on my boat is C18-24? the dash was drilled and the last digit is missing. I am pretty sure its a 351W but could be wrong, it has a Volvo 270T outdrive and the HM logo on the bellhousing. I have researched the registry and come up with the following info, CDMA's boat is a '68 hull # C1822, C18209 is according to the registry a '72, C18-216 is a '68, C18215 is a ,70, C18-235 has a 302HM and Volvo drive and is a '68.

Not that it really matters but am getting very curious.

Bill,
If you feel adventurous, you could climb all the way up to the bow eye. The HIN should be written on the backing block for the bow eye.

I don't think the trim setup is original...

Is it an "elephant ear" setup?

I don't know when the T-series drives became available, but I think it was later than the late 60s.
