Should I be watching for issues with the windscreen on a 2000 28ZX? I know the newest models have some different configuration. Any ZX owners please offer up your advice.

Thank you!!!

Sorry i cant help my 98-28zx has no windshield. But my boat has a rise in the cabin right over the two facing seats.Iam 6ft tall and can sit without hitting my head on the cabin roof.I think donzi should have left that when they made the newer design.Do you have any issues with that, just curious?

My recollection is that my head touches the headliner when I'm seated in the cabin lounges. I'm 6'2"...

Thanks for the response!

Chris, Was the boat used before you bought it, Not All 26ZX or 28ZXs had the problem, found out there were a few molds that were not filling the voids. If your boat was owned by someone else and there is no cracks you should be fine.

New with 4 hours from the factory and minimal test hours by the dealer. Will hope for the best...

Chris - My 26ZX developed long cracks in gelcoat at base of windshield, during its first season. Note I have a windshield, not a windscreen. Cost me over $1600 out of my pocket. (total was $2500) After reading this post, it appears that Donzi may have had some bad molds. They fought me tooth & nail over fixing this. Thanks, customer service.

I have a '99 22ZX with the tinted plexiglass venturi windscreen and have had no problems. Only one minor surface crack (about one inch long)in the surface of the gelcoat but you can't even notice it. Overall, the windscreen has held-up perfectly, and I have driven the boat hard, over big waves, on occasions.
